Announcing the 2015 HDI San Antonio Analyst of the Year Program

HDI_AotY_SmallNominations are now open!Desktop Support Technician of the Year

We all know the tremendous benefits of recognition and the positive impact it has on our teams. The HDI Awards Program is a prime opportunity to recognize the superstars on your support team. We have two awards programs: Service Desk Analyst of the Year and Desktop Support Technician of the Year.

Your company may nominate up to two people in each category. This quality program is FREE and a benefit of your HDI Membership (the Analyst and Technician do not have to be a member). HDI San Antonio has an outstanding program in place for the Awards Program, with top-notch judges scoring candidates and selecting San Antonio’s top support analysts. Last year’s local Desktop Support Technician of the year winner, David Saenz, CPS Energy, went all the way to the finals and was recognized at the HDI national conference.  Take a look at how CPS Energy celebrated David's achievement:

On December 3, 2015,  we’re holding the HDI San Antonio Awards Luncheon. Come hear about the nominees and watch as the winners receive their awards. We’ll send out information on the nomination process in the near future.

Who will you nominate? Would you like to help select the winners? Volunteer to judge!

Every year, your local HDI San Antonio chapter hosts a special awards ceremony honoring local Analyst of the Year and Desktop Support Technician of the Year nominees. (This year it will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3.) Do you know someone who epitomizes customer service and support? Consider nominating them. Watch for details.

Would you like to take part in selecting our next award winners? We’re looking for judges. You’ll have the opportunity to hear interviews of each nominee, grade their responses, and help determine who takes home the prize. Update from August 19 Event, Knowledge Centered Support!

RickJoslinKCSWe’d like to thank everyone who attended Rick Joslin’s informative presentation about Knowledge Centered Support (KCS) on Wednesday, August 19.  We had HDI members and guests from NuStar, Whataburger, CPS Energy, Tesoro, Capital Group, University of Texas Health Science Center, New Horizons, Beaullieu and Associates, TEKSystems, and Rackspace, as well as some in between jobs. New Horizons hosted and sponsored this excellent event. Thank you, New Horizons!Aug182015

Rick Joslin is responsible for the development, sales, and delivery of HDI’s training and certification offerings. He is a certified Knowledge-Centered Support (KCS) instructor, and he has guided many organizations through the implementation of KCS. At our luncheon, he gave an excellent presentation about what KCS looks like and how it compares with the older Knowledge Engineering model. In KCS, the knowledge content is a byproduct of solving problems for your customers, and is collaborative. Everyone on the team is responsible for creating and validating content.

Here is a link to Rick’s presentation.

If you would like to know more about how to implement KCS in your organization, please consider attending the comprehensive Knowledge Centered Support Certification class at CPS Energy in San Antonio on November 16 – 18. Please contact Shea Knauff for more details and to register.  Shea can be reached at 904-819-6647.New Horizons

We’d like to offer our thanks again to New Horizons for hosting and sponsoring this event!
