Hello HDI San Antonio! Easter has come and gone…It is amazing how time flies. Here are a few updates from your local HDI Chapter:
APRIL 24 - 27th Annual HDI Conference in Orlando Florida. We have several local San Antonio members attending and are pleased to announce that on Wednesday, April 25, at 6:00 pm the
HDI Central Region is hosting a SOCIAL EVENT specifically for all attendees from the Central Region geographical area who are attending the HDI Conference and Expo in Orlando. This includes Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Colorado. You won't want to miss this event being held at the Cala Bella's Lounge located in the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel.
Bomgar is sponsoring this event and will be providing the first drink free to all attendees.

HDI San Antonio Member Survey: Thanks to Andrew Garza, Whataburger for facilitating the HDI San Antonio Survey. We had a good response and gathered important information on what you would like to see at upcoming events. Knowledge Centered Support, Metrics and Remote Monitoring/Support were measured as the Top Three Topics you would like to covered by HDI San Antonio. Look for informative programs throughout the rest of the year to cover these important topics.
HDI San Antonio Executive Board: We are looking for volunteers to join the HDI San Antonio Executive board and help guide the ship. This is a great opportunity to network with some of San Antonio's IT Support Leaders and help us serve the local IT Support community. May 10th HDI San Antonio Executive Board Meeting. Lunch meeting from 11:30AM to 1:00pm. Please consider joining the Board and help plan our events for 2012.
May 16th HDI San Antonio Membership Meeting - Louana Tyson, United States Army Medical Information Technology Center and Sylvia Long, Whataburger will present an overview from one of the break outs at the HDI Annual Conference. We did this a couple of years ago and it was a great way to bring HDI Conference content back to San Antonio and further the discussions and relevancy of this important information. Thanks to New Horizons Learning Centers and Wayne Williams for hosting and Sponsoring this event.
June 25th - July 1st is the 2012 National Leadership Conferences for the Future Business Leaders of America & Phi Beta Lambda will be held in San Antonio, Texas. Please consider volunteering to judge this event. For more information please visit http://www.fbla.org/judges/judgesform.asp
We are taking the month of July off and will resume with these great events:
- August 15th, HDI San Antonio Membership Meeting/Program, "Presentation/Open Discussion, Pepsico, Knowledge Centered Support, (Updated Presentation)".
- Wednesday, September 19th, HDI San Antonio Membership Meeting/Program, TBD.
- Wednesday, October 17th, Membership Meeting/Program, TBD.
- Wednesday, November 14th, "HDI San Antonio Analyst of the Year". We plan to expand this year's AOY Program to include "Analyst of the Year" and "Desktop Support Specialist of the Year,". We are planning to grow this event and market it community wide.
